There are a lot of different kinds of glass lamps out there. For the most part they are going to be desk and floor lights. Today we are going to be talking about and looking at some examples of these types of lamps.

The first type of light that we will be looking at is the desk or table lamp. This type of light is probably the oldest type of lighting device that there is. The whole reason for these lamps is for when there are less than perfect conditions to play the piano keys and read the music script.

The second type of lamp that we are going to be talking about is the floor lamp. Floor lamps are more of a modern invention as they are more for decoration and fashion than they are for functionality. An example of floor lamp is the Tiffany-style lamp. This is a very elegant example of how style and fashion with a simple function of illuminating an area of a room. Lamps come in different shapes and sizes.
